Shinjuku Ramen House

I love Japan! I've never been there but definitely I will! And when I'm there I'll definitely won't miss walking around Shinjuku...

BUT...for now this post will be about Shinjuku here in the Manila....Shinjuku the restaurant ^_^

Manten Ramen (Small) - Php310

This is like eaten almost halfway already before we took the picture so it doesn't look appetizing but trust me it's sooo delish!

4pcs Tempura - Php340

Mix Tepanyaki - Php465

This is my fave among the bunch! super yummeh! seafood is well cooked yet tender. Excellent.

Overall I love love Shinjuku. The place looks terrific. I visited the one in Makati and even the restroom is great. Has bidet cause you'll never know..you try to be adventurous only to find out something you tried is not in real good terms with your stomach..lols. I will definitely come back to try out some of my all time fave Japanese dishes like Sukiyaki and Curry. Oh just thinking about it excites my tastebuds hehe.

I tried looking for a website or facebook page but it seems like they don't have one. I'm kind of lazy to google every location but I know they have 2 in Makati (Chino Roces & Makati Ave) and a friend said they also have one in West Ave.

Rise of the Guardians

Rise of the Guardians

Directed by: Peter Ramsey
Voiced by: Chris Pine, Alec Baldwin, Jude Law, Isla Fisher and Hugh Jackman
Rating: 9

I'm not a mom yet but for sure I will be one of those moms who will not encourage her child believing in Santa Claus, Tooth Fairy, Boogie Man, Tikbalang, Manananggal..etc.... This movie is all about that (leaving out Tikbalang and Manananggal of course). But even if that's the case I still enjoyed this a lot. Watched it with my pretty 2 nieces who seems to be getting fond with Tagalog comedies and love stories lately. Nothing against those ha, it's just that I think they're too young to be even watching those. Back to RotG. It's action packed and funny. I highly recommend watching this is 3D. It's the best I've seen probably since J. Cameron's Avatar. I could've given this a perfect 10 if it weren't only on the Santa, Fairies, Easter Bunny believing story line but overall I must say it is a family MUST WATCH film. It just went to theaters last Nov 28 still a lot of time to catch it if you haven't seen it yet.

Meanwhile enjoy the trailer:

My Christmas Coffees =^.^=

Honestly, I'm not that fan of coffee. I only drink it occasionally like when a friend wants to chitchat over a good cold coffee or frappe OR...I am desperate for some caffeine boost because my brain is totally not out there and I can't focus on work for some reason. Aside from that, I don't crave it. I am a total tea person. I drink tea on an average 4 days a week; twice a day. Anyway as the title suggests this post will be about COFFEE :)

Finally it's the season where our 2 beloved cafes bring out (NOT THE PLANNER! I never liked those) their "Christmas Coffees"

From Starbucks..

Dark Cherry Mocha. it's the tall one. I love the cherry fruit but I hate anything cherry flavoured. I think it tastes like medicine. but for some reason I find this drink quite pleasant ^_^. This is absolutely my favorite frappe as of the moment =^.^=. Oh the grande one is Peppermint. It's also a Christmas Coffee. It's not mine and I don't like peppermint either so I haven't tried this yet to say anything:P

From Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf....

Red Velvet. Now this one's my favorite hot drink. I love love this. I really wish they have this  all year round. It's like cake in liquid form. You'll love this more so if you are a girly girl because this coffee is actually PINK! too bad my cam was not able to capture it :( sucks for having low quality point and shoot cam :( . You may not like this if you hate milk though. It really tastes milky and creamy =^.^=

What's your favorite Christmas Coffee??

Amici

Craved for some pasta this time so we went to Amici ^^

 Mozarela Fritto (Php225)

Fried mozarella sticks. If you tried one from TGIF it's not much different. Except those have dip while this one is soaked in red sauce. I like both ^^. You'll love this if you like red sauce and cheese like moi :D

Lasagna Ragu (Php298)

It's the first time I tried this and sad to say, I'm not a fan :( I mean it's not that bad, maybe I just expected more. Still good but I probably wldn't order this again.

Salto Con Zuppa (Php305)

This is like the most or the ONLY glorified kanin na tutong ever, LOLS. Don't get me wrong! It is delicious ^_^ the kanin na tutong is soaked in white sea food cream...or soup...err, it's not as thick as a cream but also not as liquidy as soup. Basta it's delish ^^

Best thing about Amici is that they have Caramia inside for desserts. Too bad we're already full from the pasta and rice :( Oh and in some Amicis you can actually see the chef prepare your pizza. It's really fun to watch ^^

Check out Amici's Facebook page to see where they are located

Cheese Steak Shop

Hola! can't sleep. I originally want an intro of some sort as my first entry but what the heck, I already have so much food photos and super want to share it with you right away ^^..

The Cheese Steak Shop

Philadelphia cheese steak sandwich are thinly sliced beef steak in a bun with melted cheese and different sort of toppings. If that doesn't make you drool already..here's a pic to help you :P

10" Premium Cheese Steak  (Php590)

Oh yeah. What's great about CSS is their sandwiches comes in different variants. The picture above is the Deluxe. It has pizza sauce and mushrooms. The crazy greens going on are peppers that they ask you as add ons for free^^.  But personally, I just like the plain'ol cheese steak because I can taste the cheese more ^^

Regular Twister Fries (Php99)

Nothing special first time I tried them but I just had this again yesterday and it was delicious! I think they improved it, hurrah!

Buffalo Wings (Php250-ish, sorry)

Probably one of the best I've ever had. There's this ingredient that I haven't tasted in other buffalo wings I've tried...I think it's turmeric....

Regular Rootbeer Float (Php65)

Regular Oninon Rings (Php120)

Thin slice and coat...just the way I like it <3

Overall. I love The Cheese Stake Shop <3 Just like their tag line says..it is indeed habit forming <3 It's a nice break from your usual fast food or rice meal. Oh, and they also have this stamp card. You get a free sandwich once completed. This wld be a piece of cake for me, hehe:P
