LaPetite Camille - a patient man's coffee, lols

Everytime hubby and I goes out to eat, it's always Japanese, Italian, Filipino or the usual sandwich/burgers and fries. Vietnamese cuisine isn't something we usually crave for but since our palettes are feeling kinda adventurous we decided to try out LaPetite Camille ^_^

So the title of this post says something about COFFEE but let me get to that later and let's start with the food first, shall we? :)

Fresh Vegetarian Rolls Php190

It's like our lumpiang sariwa only you got noodles instead of ubod as main filling. Then you have lettuce, carrots, cucumber and mushroom. The sauce is kind of similar with our lumpiang sariwa as well. Garlic-y and nutty.

Beef Look Luck Php350

As you can see, it is loaded with black and white pepper. I don't like pepper actually but I manage to eat this somehow :) I only wish they made the beef a little more tender and also clean up the sides of the plate before  serving :P

Special Rice in Claypot Php265

Rice with shrimp, chicken and some vegetables. Honestly there's nothing really special about this dish but it's also not that bad either :)

Overall the food are OK but in my opinion, not great. Like I said Vietnamese cuisine isn't something I am very familiar with so I can't tell if these are authentic. The ambiance is very nice and clean. The staff are helpful and polite as well.

OK. so now for the coffee. I may not be a fan of the food but I have long been interested with Vietnamese coffee eventhough I'm not much of a coffee person, hubby is one big coffee monster so I'm also excited trying this out with him ^.^

Each table have this instruction card on how to enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee....

So how this works is you pour hot water on the "steel drainer(?)" with coffee and you wait until all the water drips to your cup. So it's just like any brewed coffee actually only you use condensed milk instead of creamer or regular milk. Hubby loved it and so did I :)

La Petite Camille is located at 2nd level Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center Makati.
